Wells King is a Special Assistant to President Trump and the Policy Director to Vice President JD Vance. 

He previously served on the White House Domestic Policy Council, where he was the principal advisor on labor & employment policy, among other issues. 

Wells was also the founding research director at American Compass, the think tank developing a conservative economic agenda focused on workers, their families and communities, and the national interest. 

Wells's commentary on politics and public policy has appeared regularly in publications including National Review, American Affairs, The American Conservative, and Newsweek, among others. His research and analysis has been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Bloomberg.
